This was last week’s walk when we discovered a bike path where an old railway line used to be.

Hard to believe we’ve been back from our US travels for more than 3 weeks. I quickly slipped back into my working mode, in fact I was in the office 2 hours after landing but that’s what happens when I approve my staff holidays which adjoin to mine.

Family were away when we got back so the first weekend was catching up with washing and getting settled in the Granny Flat. Although this stay wasn’t for long as we’ve started our next house sit already.

Once they all arrived back home it was lovely to see how baby Asha has grown she is testing out food, can’t really say eating yet, and also happy to sit in the high chair. Indigo has also changed in the 7 weeks while we were away now much better at dinner time, taking herself off to the toilet and pretty much mastered getting dressed even down to the buttons – very impressive for a 3 1/2 year old. I’ve still only skyped with our interstate family but Rob has had the pleasure of staying with them a couple of times already as he’s had 2 driving jobs down their way.

We’ve been at this house sit now for over a week with 3 more to go. On the northern side of Brisbane in a semi bush setting, as I type this I’m enjoying coffee on the deck listening to the many birds including Currawong, Crows, Noisy Miners, Kookaburra,Cockatoo, Lorikeets & Whip Birds. We also have the pleasure of looking after a Devon Rex cat and an English Pointer dog both are very social animals so keep us amused. Also enjoying taking Stark on long walks there are plenty of neighbourhood paths and other forestry parks we can drive to nearby. Today we did a 2 hour walk so good exercise for all of us.
